The Eastern Himalayan region boasts the tallest Mountains in the world. 
"The Himalayan Mountain ranges directly effect global weather patterns." 
1. Mount Everest, Nepal, is the tallest mountain in the world, 29,035 feet above sea level, 8,850 meters. It's peak was first reached on May 9th,1953 
2. K2, Pakistan, the second tallest mountain in the world, is 28,250 feet above sea level, or 8,611 meters high. It's peak was first reached on July 31, 1954. 
3. Mount Kanchenjunga, Sikkim, the third tallest mountain in the world is 25,397 feet above sea level, or 7,741 meters high. It's peak was first reached on May 24th, 1955

Environment

Work on projects for clean water, forest restoration and sustainability, help clean up the trekking trails, educate villages and students on the importance of being environmentally aware.








Teaching and/or Assisting:

Primary and Secondary classes in remote school programs.

Teach three to four days per week balanced with free time.

Trekking and Sightseeing available with a guide.

Medical Support for North East India, Nepal, Sikkim:

Seeking NP in medical fields, physicians, nurses and pharmacists.

Conduct Educational Seminars in diabetics, hepatitis, pediatric illnesses, malaria, arthritis, skin disorders, eye care and disease.

Trekking and Home Stay:

Monsoon:Heavy Rainfall Season. Physically challenging

Volunteer for the Rice Harvest. Hands on participation requires a 3 -4 day commitment per week.

October to November: Work with local farmer on the mountainside rice paddies, balanced with trekking and free time. Includes paddy preparation for seeking, transplanting rice, rice harvest.

Sports and Travel Events:

Biking tournaments, Trekking, Hiking, Exploring Historical Sites

 

 

Painting and Photography Tours and Seminars.
